Evaluation of Family Services

Another exciting project that we have been working on recently is a full evaluation of PROPS Family Recovery Services based in the North Sheilds in the North East of England. PROPS is a recognised charity offering a wide range of support to carers trying to navigate the addiction of a relative. STAR has been evaluating the services offered by PROPS across both sites in Newcastle and North Tyneside. Phase 1 of the evaluation consists of analysing the pre-existing data held in the form of Carer Support Outcomes Profiles, with Phase 2 focusing on qualitative data gathering with carers, staff and key stakeholders, to provide a robust and meaningful evaluation of PROPS.

We have already had the pleasure of visiting both sites to conduct interviews with staff and carers, and have further interviews scheduled with key stakeholders. Whilst the evaluation process is still very much ongoing, the response so far has been extremely inspiring, and preliminary analysis has revealed a lot of positive responses. Upon completion of the evaluation, a full report will be produced to highlight the key strengths of PROPS and potential areas for improvement. We are extremely excited about this opportunity to showcase the amazing work PROPS is doing.
